Julieta es la película número 20 escrita y dirigida por Pedro Almodóvar, el director de cine, guionista y productor español que mayor resonancia ha logrado fuera de España en las últimas décadas. Almodóvar ha recibido los principales galardones cinematográficos internacionales, entre ellos destaca la consecución de dos premios Óscar.
La película es un viaje emocional a través de la culpa, el dolor, la pérdida, los silencios provocados por la falta de comunicación… historia inspirada en tres relatos cortos de la escritora Alice Munro, Premio Nobel de Literatura del año 2013 del que hablamos en este blog en la entrada número 292.
Rodada con una fotografía exquisita y con abundantes planos cortos, sus protagonistas narran el dolor de la historia con una rotunda interpretación basada en la contención, el silencio y las miradas. Interpretación que le valió a Emma Suárez ganar el Premio Goya a la Mejor Actriz Protagonista.

Julieta is the 20th movie written and directed by Pedro Almodóvar, who is also a scriptwriter and producer from Spain that has obtained more resonance outside Spain in the last decades. Almodóvar has received the main international film awards, among them the achievement of two Oscar awards.
The film is an emotional journey through guilt, pain, loss and silence caused by lack of communication … a story inspired by three short stories by the writer Alice Munro, who also won the Nobel Prize in Literature of 2013 of which we provide further information on this blog at entry number 292.
Filmed with an exquisite photograph and abundant short shots, its protagonists narrate the pain of history with a resounding interpretation based on containment, silence and looks.
Interpretation that earned Emma Suárez win the Goya Award for Best Actress.

Forrest Gump es una película estadounidense cómico-dramática estrenada en 1994. Basada en la novela homónima del escritor Winston Groom.
La película fue dirigida por Robert Zemeckis y protagonizada por Tom Hanks. La historia describe varias décadas de la vida de Forrest Gump, un ser inocente nacido en Alabama que posee una leve discapacidad psíquica y física.
La película se convirtió en un gran éxito de público, llegando a ser la más taquillera del año, en parte gracias a unos novedosos efectos especiales que hizo posible insertar a Forrest Gump en imágenes de archivo junto a personajes históricos ya desaparecidos, a los que incluso llega a estrechar la mano.
Prácticamente desde su estreno fue considerada como una de las Grandes Obras Maestras de la historia del cine, lo que le llevó a ganar 6 premios Oscar, incluyendo el de Mejor Película y Director del año.

Forrest Gump is a American comic-drama movie premiered in 1994. It is based on the novel by the writer Winston Groom.
The film was directed by Robert Zemeckis and starred Tom Hanks. The story depicts several decades of the life of Forrest Gump, an innocent man who was born in Alabama with a slight psychic and physical disability.
The film became a huge success, becoming the best-seller of the year, partly thanks to some brand new special effects that made it possible to insert Forrest Gump with historical characters that have passed away, such as Kennedy, who he is even able to shake hands with. Ever since its premiere, it was considered one of the Great Masterpieces of the history of cinema, winning 6 Oscars, including for the Best Movie and Director of the year.

CAMINO de Javier Fesser (España-2008)

Camino es una película del director español Javier Fesser. Inspirada en la vida de Alexia, una niña que falleció a la edad de 14 años, en 1985, tras una larga enfermedad y que a día de hoy se encuentra en proceso de beatificación.
Javier Fesser, es un joven director español que se dio a conocer con la magnífica comedia “El milagro de P. Tinto” o la gran producción, cargada de efectos especiales, “La gran aventura de Mortadelo y Filemón.”

La película Camino es una aventura emocional en torno a una extraordinaria niña de once años que se enfrenta, al mismo tiempo, a dos acontecimientos que son completamente nuevos para ella: enamorarse y morir. La interpretación de la jovencísima actriz Nerea Camacho dota al personaje de una frescura y verosimilitud que atrapa al espectador desde el principio, lo que le llevó a conseguir el Premio Goya a la Mejor Actriz Revelación. Camino sumó un total de 6 Premios Goya, entre los que destaca el de Mejor Película y Mejor Director del año.

Camino is a movie directed by Javier Fesser. Inspired by the life of Alexia, a girl who died at the age of 14 in 1985 after an long-lastining illnesses that is nowadays found in process of beatification.
Javier Fesser is young Spanish director who made himself well-known with the magnificient comedy «The Miracle of P. Tinto» or the great production, filled with special effects, «The great adventure of Mortadelo and Filemón.»
The movie Camino is an emotional adventure based on an extraordinary eleven-year-old girl who, at once, faces two events that are completely new to her: falling in love and dying. The interpretation of the young actress Nerea Camacho endows the character with freshness and verisimilitude that catches the viewers attention from the very beginning, leading him to get the Goya Award for Best Actress Revelation. Camino earned a total of 6 Goya Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director of the Year.
