El escritor inglés de origen japonés Kazuo Ishiguro ha sido el ganador del Nobel de Literatura 2017. En palabras de la Academia de los Premios Nobel: “Ishiguro ha descubierto el abismo bajo nuestro ilusorio sentido de conexión con el mundo a través de novelas de gran fuerza emocional.”
Varias de sus novelas han sido adaptadas al cine, destacando “Lo que queda del día” protagonizada por una soberbia interpretación de Anthony Hopkins. Película que obtuvo un gran éxito de crítica y público.
