1122. Último tramo…

Terminada la Semana Santa regresamos a nuestra Residencia con la ilusión puesta en terminar el curso. Cada uno de nuestros Alumnos Residentes hará un último y gran esfuerzo en conseguir los mejores resultados académicos.
Seguiremos trabajando para conseguir los objetivos académicos, deportivos y culturales que nos marcamos al inicio. De esta forma llegaremos a buen puerto en lo poco que nos queda del curso 2023-2024.
Mis mejores deseos para todos.

After Easter we returned to our Residence with the hope of finishing the course. Each of our Resident Students will make a last and great effort to achieve the best academic results.
We will continue working to achieve the academic, sports and cultural objectives that we set for ourselves at the beginning. In this way we will come to fruition in what little we have left of the 2023-2024 academic year.

1118. Alumnos residentes de intercambio en Suiza

Durante toda la semana, algunos de nuestros alumnos residentes están en Suiza.
Se trata de un intercambio lingüístico-cultural que les ayuda a convivir y compartir con otros alumnos de allí, quienes más adelante nos devolverán la visita.
Entre las muchas actividades programadas destacamos la Visita al Alimentarium, al Museo Chaplinsworld, al Museo Olímpico, a las zonas más turísticas de Ginebra o al Castillo de Chillón.
El próximo lunes regresarán y podrán hacernos partícipes de todo lo vivido durante una estupenda semana.

Throughout the week, some of our resident students are in Switzerland.
It is a linguistic-cultural exchange that helps them live and share with other students there, who will later return the visit to us.
Among the many scheduled activities we highlight the Visit to the Alimentarium, the Chaplinsworld Museum, the Olympic Museum, the most tourist areas of Geneva or the Chillón Castle.
Next Monday they will return and will be able to share with us everything they experienced during a great week.

1116. Día Internacional de la Mujer

Como cada 8 de marzo, hoy se celebra el Día Internacional de La Mujer, también llamado Día Internacional de la Mujer trabajadora. Celebración Mundial reconocida por la Organización de las Naciones Unidas, ONU. En este día se conmemora la lucha de la mujer por su participación, en igualdad con el hombre, en la sociedad y en su desarrollo íntegro como persona.
Desde este Blog, felicitamos a todas las mujeres (Directoras, Profesoras, Alumnas, Madres…) que conviven con nosotros en nuestra comunidad educativa.

As every 8th March, the International Women’s Day, or also known as the International Day of Working Women, is celebrated. A world-wide Celebration recognized by the United Nations, UN. This day marks the struggle of women for their participation, in equality with men, in society and in their full development as a person.
From this BLog we congratulate all the women (Directors, Teachers, Students, Mothers…) who live with us in our educational community.

1114. Termina el Taller de Orientación Vocacional

Tal y como os informamos en la entrada número 1103, un gran número de nuestros alumnos residentes de 4º ESO, 1º Bachillerato y 1º DP, han llevado a cabo la asistencia a un taller de Orientación Vocacional.
Miriam y Lucía, psicólogas de la Universidad Camilo José Cela, UCJC, han sido las encargadas de llevar a cabo el Taller, realizando una serie de dinámicas de grupo, cuestionarios vocacionales, trabajo de habilidades, conceptos, descubrimiento de sus puntos fuertes…
Todo ello con la finalidad de que nuestros alumnos conozcan las posibles salidas profesionales que tienen aquello que deseen estudiar y el mejor camino para conseguir sus objetivos.
Sin duda un taller de lo más formativo.

As we informed you in entry number 1103, a large number of our resident students from 4th ESO, 1st Baccalaureate and 1st DP have attended a Vocational Guidance workshop.
Miriam and Lucía, psychologists from the Camilo José Cela University, UCJC, have been in charge of carrying out the Workshop, carrying out a series of group dynamics, vocational questionnaires, work on skills, concepts, discovery of their strengths…
All of this with the aim that our students know the possible professional opportunities that they have for what they want to study and the best way to achieve their goals.
Without a doubt a most formative workshop.

El mago español Jorge Blass dirige por décimo cuarta vez el Festival Internacional de Magia que se celebra en el Teatro Circo Price. Los mejores magos del mundo se dan cita en la ciudad de Madrid con la intención de dejarnos boquiabiertos. Ilusionistas de distintas nacionalidades y disciplinas aunarán fuerzas para crear un show espectacular. Otro año más nos disponemos a disfrutar de un festival literalmente mágico.

1105. Fiesta de Carnaval 2024

FIESTA de CARNAVAL 2024
Día y hora: Martes 13 de Febrero. A partir de las 18:00 h.
Lugar: Sala de TV de la Residencia Masculina.
Para: Todos los cursos.

El próximo martes 13 de febrero tendrá lugar nuestra fiesta de Carnaval-2024 en la Residencia. Ya estamos preparando disfraces, máscaras, maquillajes, complementos… Una divertida tarde en la que los disfraces y los juegos serán los protagonistas.

Next Tuesday, February 13, our Carnival-2024 party will take place at the Residence. We are already preparing costumes, masks, makeup, accessories… A fun afternoon in which costumes and games will be the stars.

1103. Presentación del Taller de Orientación vocacional

D. Gastón presentó ayer, a los alumnos y alumnas residentes de 4º ESO, 1º Bachillerato y 1º DP, el Taller de Orientación Vocacional que se realizará en la UCJC por orientadores y psicólogos profesionales.
Un Taller de lo más interesante en el que recibirán asesoramiento profesional para que puedan encauzar, conociendo multitud de posibilidades, su camino académico hacia lo que deseen estudiar en su futuro universitario.
Un buen número de nuestros alumnos y alumnas mostraron gran interés en asistir a estos talleres que darán comienzo la próxima semana.

Yesterday, Mr. Gastón presented to the resident students of 4th ESO, 1st Baccalaureate and 1st DP the Vocational Guidance Workshop that will be held at the UCJC by professional counselors and psychologists.
A very interesting Workshop in which they will receive professional advice so that they can direct, knowing a multitude of possibilities, their academic path towards what they wish to study in their university future.
A good number of our students showed great interest in attending these workshops that will begin next week.

1099. Semana Blanca en SEK-Les Alpes

Mañana sábado regresan nuestros alumnos residentes de una estupenda semana en la nieve.
Junto a muchos de sus compañeros de colegio han disfrutado de una semana de aprendizaje, con monitores cualificados, en la que han mejorado o iniciado, según cada uno, su nivel de esquí. Una semana de convivencia en los Alpes, alojados en la residencia de nuestro colegio hermano: SEK-Les Alpes.
Aquí os dejo algunas de las fotos que dan muestra de la belleza del paisaje que han podido disfrutar.

Tomorrow, Saturday, our resident students return from a great week in the snow.
Together with many of their schoolmates, they have enjoyed a week of learning, with qualified instructors, in which they have improved or started, according to each one, their level of skiing. A week of coexistence in the Alps, staying in the residence of our sister school: SEK-Les Alpes.

1096. Gangwon 2024: IV Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno de la Juventud (YOG)

Los Juegos Olímpicos de la Juventud (En inglés Youth Olympic Games – YOG) son un evento multideportivo cuatrienal promovido por el Comité Olímpico Internacional (COI) y en el que participan atletas de todo el mundo de entre 14 y 18 años.
Existen dos versiones de los YOG: los Juegos de Verano y los de Invierno.
La cuarta edición de invierno de estos Juegos se celebrarán en la ciudad de Corea del Sur llamada Gangwon, desde el 19 de enero hasta el 1 de febrero de 2024.
Nos hacemos eco de este gran evento, que empieza mañana, dado el apoyo permanente que mantiene toda la Institución educativa SEK con el deporte base y sus federaciones: Cantera del Real Madrid, Natación, Tenis…
Deseamos la mayor suerte al equipo español que acuda a la cita Olímpica.

The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) are a quadrennial multi-sport event promoted by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and involving athletes from around the world between the ages of 14 and 18.
There are two versions of the YOG: the Summer Games and the Winter Games.
The fourth winter edition of these Games will be held in the South Korean city called Gangwon, from January 19 to February 1, 2024.
We echo this great event, which begins tomorrow, given the permanent support that the entire SEK educational institution maintains with grassroots sports and its federations: Real Madrid Youth, Swimming, Tennis…
We wish the best of luck to the Spanish team that attends the Olympic event.

1093. ¡Feliz Navidad!

Llegó la Navidad. Tiempo de darse un merecido descanso para disfrutar con familiares y amigos de tan entrañables fiestas.  Acabamos un trimestre intenso de trabajo académico, actividades deportivas, culturales… y como colofón final la Cena de Convivencia que el pasado 14 de diciembre nos brindó CATERGEST y a los que deseo felicitar desde aquí, así como al Grupo de Música y Grupo de Teatro de la Residencia cuyo arte pudimos disfrutar tras la cena.
Retomaremos el curso, ya en 2024, con el objetivo intacto de tratar de conseguir que la Residencia sea un lugar donde lo académico, lo cultural y lo emocional se unan para lograr una formación integral en valores y convivencia.
Con el deseo de que pasen una Feliz Navidad y un Próspero Año Nuevo les mando a todos, familiares y alumnos, un afectuoso saludo.

Christmas is here. Time to take a well-deserved break to enjoy such endearing holidays with family and friends. We finished an intense quarter of academic work, sports and cultural activities… and as a final culmination, the Coexistence Dinner that CATERGEST gave us on December 14 and whom I would like to congratulate from here, as well as the Music Group and Theater Group of the Residence whose art we could enjoy after dinner.
We will resume the course, now in 2024, with the intact objective of trying to make the Residence a place where the academic, the cultural and the emotional come together to achieve comprehensive training in values and coexistence.
With the wish that you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, I send you all, family and students, an affectionate greeting.
