Tim Burton es un director, productor, escritor y diseñador estadounidense. La mayoría de sus películas se han caracterizado por la presencia de mundos imaginarios donde suelen estar presentes elementos góticos y oscuros, cuyos protagonistas suelen ser seres inadaptados y enigmáticos.

Eduardo Manostijeras, interpretando por Johnny Depp, es una película donde se funden tres géneros cinematográficos: el cine fantástico, dramático y romántico. Es la historia de un muchacho creado por un extravagante inventor. Se trata de un cuento que retoma mitos clásicos como Frankenstein o Pinocho: ser viviente creado por el hombre, que lucha por hacerse un espacio en la sociedad.

Edward Scissorhands, interpreted by Johnny Depp, is a film where three film genres are fused together: fantasy, drama and romance. It is the story of a boy created by an extravagant inventor. It is a story that retakes classic myths as Frankenstein or Pinocchio: a man-made living being, who struggles to become a space in society.
