El director español Juan Antonio Bayona dirigió en 2012 Lo imposible. Película que le otorgó el Premio Goya como Mejor Director del año. Una película basada en la terrible experiencia que vivió un matrimonio español con 3 hijos que fueron supervivientes del tsunami que asoló Tailandia el 26 de diciembre de 2004.
Bayona saltó a la fama gracias a su premiada y primera película “El orfanato” con la que consiguió una excelente valoración de crítica y público. Con su segunda película, “Lo imposible”, rodada en inglés y protagonizada por Ewan MacGregror y Naomi Watts su fama se expande a nivel internacional, lo que le ha llevado directamente a Hollywood para coproducir junto con España su tercera y última película, de la que todo el mundo habla, que se estrena la próxima semana: “Un monstruo viene a verme.”

The Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona directed Lo Imposible in 2012, which was the movie that awarded him the Goya Award for the best Director of the year. The movie is based on the terrible experience of a Spanish married couple with 3 children who were survivors of the tsunami that struck Thailand on December 26, 2004.
Bayona rose to fame thanks to his award-winning first film «El Orfanato” which got an excellent rating from critics and audiences. With his second film, «Lo Imposible», which was filmed in English and starred by Ewan MacGregror and Naomi Watts, his fame becomes international, this had led him directly to Hollywood to co-produce, together with Spain, his third and final film, which is said to be released next week: «Un monstruo viene a verme.”

En el año 2000 el director, productor y actor británico Stephen Daldry sorprendió al mundo cinematográfico con su bellísima y premiada película Billy Elliot. Sus películas son fundamentalmente un recital interpretativo donde la acción recae en los personajes, que dirige con una fuerza e inquietud verdaderamente brillante. Así el actor y bailarín Jamie Bell, con tan sólo 14 años, consigue interpretar el papel de Billy Elliot con un desparpajo y soltura que le llevó a conseguir innumerables premios.

Sinopsis: Billy Elliot es un niño de 11 años, hijo de un minero, que vive en el norte de Inglaterra. Su vida cambiará para siempre al conocer a la Sra. Wilkinson, que da clase de ballet en el gimnasio donde él intenta aprender a boxear.

His movies are fundamentally an interpretative recital where action is in the character and directed with such strength and restlessness. This way the actor and dancer Jamie Bell, with o lay 14 years of age, gets to play the role Billy Elliot with the impudence and confidence that led him to receive countless awards.

Synopsis: Billy Elliot is a 12 year old boy, son of a miner, who lives in the north of England. His life changed forever when he met Sra. wilkinson, who gives ballet class in the same gym in which he tries to learn how to box.

INTOCABLE de Olivier Nakache y Eric Toledano (FRANCIA-2011)

El próximo jueves comenzaremos con nuestro cine-fórum y lo haremos con un plato cinematográfico que mezcla calidad y entretenimiento en grandes dosis y a partes iguales: INTOCABLE.
El tándem de directores formado por Eric Toledano y Olivier Nakache ha conseguido un rotundo éxito de crítica y taquilla y no sólo en Francia. De hecho, Intocable se ha convertido en la película de habla no inglesa más taquillera de toda la historia del cine.
Intocable es una película que divierte y emociona a partes iguales. Una película que retrata a la perfección el dicho “las apariencias engañan.”
La historia magistralmente interpretada por François Cluzet y Omar Sy está basada en hechos reales, lo que hace que conmueva más al espectador. Si bien tanto los personajes reales como la película huyen de la compasión y se detienen mucho más en la vitalidad que puede generar una verdadera relación de amistad.

The tandem of directors formed by Eric Toledano and Olivier Nackache turned out a huge success and that not only in France. In fact, intocable has become the bestselling foreign language movie in the history of cinema.
Intocable is a movie that is both amusing and exciting. A movie that perfectly portrays the saying «appearances are deceiving».
The story masterfully played by François Cluzet and Omar Sy is based on a true story, which makes it even more moving for the audience. While both the real characters as of the movie escape compassion and land much more on vitality that can lead to true friendship.
