1093. ¡Feliz Navidad!

Llegó la Navidad. Tiempo de darse un merecido descanso para disfrutar con familiares y amigos de tan entrañables fiestas.  Acabamos un trimestre intenso de trabajo académico, actividades deportivas, culturales… y como colofón final la Cena de Convivencia que el pasado 14 de diciembre nos brindó CATERGEST y a los que deseo felicitar desde aquí, así como al Grupo de Música y Grupo de Teatro de la Residencia cuyo arte pudimos disfrutar tras la cena.
Retomaremos el curso, ya en 2024, con el objetivo intacto de tratar de conseguir que la Residencia sea un lugar donde lo académico, lo cultural y lo emocional se unan para lograr una formación integral en valores y convivencia.
Con el deseo de que pasen una Feliz Navidad y un Próspero Año Nuevo les mando a todos, familiares y alumnos, un afectuoso saludo.

Christmas is here. Time to take a well-deserved break to enjoy such endearing holidays with family and friends. We finished an intense quarter of academic work, sports and cultural activities… and as a final culmination, the Coexistence Dinner that CATERGEST gave us on December 14 and whom I would like to congratulate from here, as well as the Music Group and Theater Group of the Residence whose art we could enjoy after dinner.
We will resume the course, now in 2024, with the intact objective of trying to make the Residence a place where the academic, the cultural and the emotional come together to achieve comprehensive training in values and coexistence.
With the wish that you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, I send you all, family and students, an affectionate greeting.

El pasado sábado, nuestros alumnos residentes pudieron disfrutar de conciertos navideños en el mercadillo de navidad situado en Nuevos Ministerios, en pleno centro de Madrid.
Un ambiente de lo más festivo y navideño se respiraba por toda la plaza.

Last Saturday, our resident students were able to enjoy Christmas concerts at the Christmas market located in Nuevos Ministerios, in the heart of Madrid.
A very festive and Christmas atmosphere was felt throughout the square.

1090. Cena de Navidad: música, cena y teatro.

Ayer vivimos una noche muy especial: nuestra tradicional cena de convivencia de Navidad.
Antes de cenar, la banda de música de alumnos del colegio y residencia, dirigidas magistralmente por Paul, nos deleitó con un par de canciones, con música y voz en directo, que anunció la gran noche que íbamos a pasar.
Tras la música pudimos disfrutar de una excelente cena servida por Catergest, a quienes damos las gracias desde este blog.
Antes de la función, tres de nuestros alumnos residentes nos dedicaron unos emotivos discursos, así como Eloísa, Directora de nuestro colegio, y Gastón, Director de la Residencia.
Y como “postre” la representación de la obra de teatro: CUENTO DE NAVIDAD, una actuación que provocó el entusiasmo del público y la alegría de nuestros alumnos al ver recompensado su trabajo con tanto cariño.
Sin duda, y como suele pasar en cada Cena de Navidad, una de las veladas más entrañables que se disfrutan en la Residencia.
Enhorabuena a todos los artistas, músicos y actores, que pisaron el escenario con tanta profesionalidad.

Yesterday we experienced a very special night: our traditional Christmas dinner.
Before dinner, the band of students from the school and residence, masterfully directed by Paul, delighted us with a couple of songs, with live music and vocals, which announced the great night we were going to spend.
After the music we were able to enjoy an excellent dinner served by Catergest, whom we thank on this blog.
Before the performance, three of our resident students gave us emotional speeches, as well as Eloísa, Director of our school, and Gastón, Director of the Residence.
And as a “dessert” the performance of the play: A CHRISTMAS CAROL, a performance that provoked the enthusiasm of the public and the joy of our students when they saw their work rewarded with so much love.
Without a doubt, and as usually happens at every Christmas Dinner, one of the most endearing evenings enjoyed at the Residence.
Congratulations to all the artists, musicians and actors, who stepped on stage with such professionalism.

1089. Preparados…

Acabamos de realizar el último ensayo de nuestra función de teatro “Cuento de Navidad”. Todo está preparado para poder compartir mañana con directores, profesores, familiares de los actores, compañeros de la residencia, nuestro trabajo.
Ilusionados, nos hacemos esta foto que refleja el buen ambiente y ánimo que reina en el grupo de teatro.
Esperamos que mañana podáis disfrutar, tanto como nosotros preparándolo, con nuestra particular versión de este texto clásico de las navidades.

We have just had the last rehearsal of our theater performance “A Christmas Carol”. Everything is prepared to be able to share our work tomorrow with directors, teachers, relatives of the actors, fellow residents.

1088. Teatro-Residencia SEK-El Castillo: CUENTO DE NAVIDAD

El Grupo de Teatro de la Residencia os presenta hoy el cartel de la obra que representará este jueves, 14 de diciembre, tras la Cena de Convivencia que la Residencia Internacional SEK-El Castillo celebra cada Navidad.
Este año estamos preparando CUENTO DE NAVIDAD, una versión libre de la famosa novela de Charles Dickens.
Seguimos trabajando para tenerlo todo a punto para este próximo jueves.

El pasado sábado nuestros alumnos residentes aprovecharon la tarde para pasear por los lugares más emblemáticos de Madrid, con el objetivo de disfrutar del alumbrado navideño.
Una tarde donde la llegada de la Navidad ya se respiraba por cada uno de los rincones de Madrid.

Last Saturday our resident students took advantage of the afternoon to walk through the most emblematic places in Madrid, with the aim of enjoying the Christmas lighting.
