506: Premios Oscar 2016: Spotlight, El Renacido, Mad Max…

Ayer se celebró la gran fiesta del cine americano con la edición número 88 de los famosos Oscars: premios cinematográficos otorgados anualmente por la Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de EE.UU.

Fue una gala donde los premios estuvieron muy repartidos, aunque destacaron 3 películas por encima del resto:
Spotlight que fue la que ganó el premio “gordo” al proclamarse como la Mejor Película del año. Consiguió un total de 2 Oscars al ganar también el de Mejor Guion original.
El Renacido, coronó al director mexicano Alejandro González Iñárritu como Mejor Director por segundo año consecutivo y otorgó, por fin, el ansiado y merecido Oscar a Leonardo Dicaprio. Consiguió un total de 3 Oscar.
Mad Max, Furia en la carretera que consiguió un total de 6 Oscar, todos ellos en las categorías técnicas.

Yesterday held the feast of American cinema with the 88th edition of the famous Oscars: film awards given annually by the Academy of Arts and cinematographic Sciences of the USA

It was a gala where awards were very well distributed, but they highlighted 3 movies over the rest:
Spotlight which won the «Jackpot» was proclaimed as the best film of the year. It got a total of 2 Oscars by also winning best original screenplay.
The revenant, crowned Mexican director Alejandro González Iñárritu as best Director for the second consecutive year and granted, at last, the long-awaited and well-deserved Leonardo DiCaprio an Oscar. Achieving a total of 3.
Mad Max fury road which got a total of 6 Oscars, all of them in the techniques categories.

505. Fotos de un par de tardes mágicas

Tal y como anunciamos en la entrada número 502, esta semana hemos asistido al VI Festival Internacional de Magia que se está celebrando en el Teatro Circo Price.
Han sido dos tardes estupendas en la que 50 alumnos residentes han podido disfrutar, algunos incluso participar voluntariamente en el espectáculo como ayudantes de los magos, de un espectáculo plagado de Ilusión, Magia y Poesía.
Al final de la función nuestros alumnos pudieron fotografiarse con los artistas, con lo que la actividad resultó de lo más completa y divertida.

As we announced in the entry number 502, this week we attended the 6th International Magic Festival that is held in the Teatro Circo Price. It was two great evenings in which 50 resident students enjoyed, some even voluntarily participated in the show as helpers of the magicians, in a star-studded show of illusion, magic and poetry.
At the end of the function our students could be photographed with the artists, so the activity was more complete and fun.

503. Actividades Extraescolares durante los fines de semana

A lo largo de los últimos fines de semana, nuestros alumnos residentes han tenido tiempo, además de estudiar, de participar o disfrutar de las siguientes actividades:

Partido de Baloncesto del Real Madrid Junior, donde juegan algunos de nuestros alumnos del colegio y a los que felicitamos desde aquí por haberse proclamado recientemente campeón, en su categoría, de la Minicopa Endesa.
Partido de Rugby que enfrentó a España con Rumanía, en el torneo 6 naciones B que se celebró en el campo de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
Celebración de la XIV edición de la carrera Cross del Rector de la UCJC (Universidad Camilo José Cela) donde Helena Olivo, una de nuestras alumnas residente, quedó 3ª en su categoría. Enhorabuena Helena.
Visita al Parque Juan Carlos I donde pudieron pasear con las bicicletas que facilita dicho parque.
Visita a la Feria Internacional del comic manga Japan weekeend 2016 que se celebró en el recinto de Ifema.
Y por último asistir y participar, el pasado sábado 20 de febrero, en la First Lego League que lleva 10 años promocionando el conocimiento del lenguaje de programación y la robótica por todo el mundo. Felicitamos desde aquí al Equipo SEK El Castillo Lego que ha sido premiado en esta edición de Lego como “Premio al comportamiento del Robot.”

Seguiremos informando de futuras actividades que se hagan a lo largo de los próximos fines de semana.

Over the last few weekends, our resident students have had time, in addition to studying, participate or enjoy the following activities:

Basketball Match Real Madrid Junior where you play some of our students at the school and congratulations on the news that they have been recently proclaimed champion in its category, the Endesa Minicopa.
Rugby Match that pitted Spain with Romania, 6 Nations B tournament which was held in the field of the Complutense University of Madrid.
Celebration of the XIV edición de la carrera Cross del Rector de la UCJC (Universidad Camilo José Cela) Helena olive, one of our resident students, was 3rd in his category. Congratulations Helena.
Visit to Parque Juan Carlos I where they could stroll with bicycles provided by the Park.
Visit to the international fair of the comic manga Japan weekend 2016 held in Ifema enclosure.
And finally to attend and participate, Saturday, February 20, in the First Lego League that for 10 years has been promoting knowledge towards the programming language and robotics worldwide. From here we congratulate team SEK El Castillo Lego which was awarded at this Lego Edition «The behavior of the Robot award.»

502. Actividades Extraescolares. Teatro Circo Price: VI Festival Internacional de Magia

VI Festival Internacional de Magia de Madrid.
Fecha y hora: Miércoles 24 y Jueves 25 de Febrero. Salida a las 18:30 horas.
Lugar: Teatro Circo Price. Madrid.
Para: Alumnos Residentes de ESO y Bachillerato.

El mago español Jorge Blass dirige por sexto año consecutivo el VI Festival Internacional de Magia que se celebra en el Teatro Circo Price de Madrid. Algunos de los mejores magos e ilusionistas del mundo se dan cita en este festival donde trucos y efectos ópticos se ponen al servicio de un gran espectáculo de luz, música y entretenimiento. Magos procedentes de México, Ucrania, Francia, España, Corea y EE.UU… harán de la Magia en escena un espectáculo mayúsculo.

Nuestros alumnos residentes llevan 2 años asistiendo a dicho festival. Dado el éxito que tuvo la actividad en ediciones anteriores, este año se ha apuntado más de 50, por lo que la próxima semana iremos dos grupos, miércoles 24 y jueves 25 de febrero, al Circo Price. Sin duda pasaremos dos tardes disfrutando de la magia, literalmente, del espectáculo.

The Spanish magician Jorge Blass runs for the sixth consecutive year the VI International Magic Festival that is held in the Theatre Circus Price in Madrid. Some of the best magicians and illusionists in the world gather at this festival where tricks and optical effects are put in the service of a great spectacle of light, music and entertainment. Magicians from Mexico, Ukraine, France, Spain, Korea and USA… will make the magic show on stage a major spectacle.

Our resident students have attended this festival now for 2 years. Given the success that the activity had in previous editions, this year more than 50 students have signed up, the residents had too be divided into two groups for next week, one group on Wednesday 24 and another on Thursday 25 February, at the Circo Price. We will indubitably spend two amazing evenings enjoying the magic, literally, in astonishment.

501. Cine-fórum: “Ocho apellidos vascos” de Emilio Martínez-Lázaro

OCHO APELLIDOS VASCOS de Emilio Martínez-Lázaro (España-2014)
Fecha y hora: Jueves 18 de Febrero. A las 20:45 horas.

Para: Alumnos Residentes de Bachillerato.

En 2014 se estrenó Ocho apellidos vascos, película que fulminó todos los récords al convertirse en la película española más taquillera de todos los tiempos. Además logró convertirse en todo un fenómeno social, dado el carácter cómico con el que se tratan las diferencias y tópicos que al parecer existen entre el norte y el sur de España. El éxito arrollador de la película dio lugar a la secuela “Ocho apellidos catalanes”, estrenada a finales de 2015 con parecido éxito.
De todos los premios cosechados destacan los 3 Premios Goya que sus actores, Dani Rovira, Karra Elejalde y Carmen Machi, consiguieron, en diferentes categorías, en la edición número 29 de los Goya.

Sinopsis: Rafa (Dani Rovira) es andaluz, un andaluz de pura cepa de los que nunca ha necesitado salir de Sevilla. Pero por caprichos del destino se enamora de Amaia (Clara Lago), que es vasca. Y Rafa, ni corto ni perezoso, se ha propuesto seguirla hasta lo más profundo de Euskadi. Allí tendrá que hacerse pasar por vasco… y no será nada fácil pero sí muy divertido.

EIGHT BASQUE SURNAMES by Emilio Martínez-Lázaro (Spain-2014)

2014, opened with Eight Basque surnames, a film that struck all records to become the Spain’s highest grossing film of all time. It also managed to become a social phenomenon, given the comidec character that dealt with the differences and stereotypes that strangely exist between the Northern and the Southern parts of Spain. The overwhelming success of the film resulted in the sequel named «Eight Catalan surnames», it premiered at the finally of 2015 with similar success. It’s harvested awards, which included 3 Goya Awards to its actors, Dani Rovira, Karra Elejalde and Carmen Machi, they managed to acquire in different categories, the Edition number 29 of the Goya Awards.

Synopsis: Rafa (Dani Rovira) is Andalusian, a Andalusian of pure blood that has never needed to leave Sevilla. But by the whims of fate he falls for Amaia (Clara Lago), which is Basque. As Rafa is neither affected by shortcomings nor lazy, he has proposed to follow her to the depths of the Basque country. There he will have to impersonate a Basque… It will not be easy, however very funny.

Cada artículo que se publica, crónica, noticia… que aparece en un blog es una entrada, en inglés se le llama Post.
Desde el pasado mes de octubre cada post, entrada, se publica en español e inglés dado el carácter Internacional que tiene nuestra Residencia.
Hoy publicamos la entrada 500, post 500 tal y como aparece en la foto, con el único objetico de dar las gracias a todas las personas que alguna vez han pasado por este Blog.

499. Lillehammer-2016: Los II Juegos Olímpicos de invierno de la Juventud

Los Juegos Olímpicos de la Juventud o JOJ (en inglés Youth Olympic Games o YOG) son un evento multideportivo cuatrienal promovido por el Comité Olímpico Internacional (COI) en 2007 y en el que participan atletas de todo el mundo con edades comprendidas entre 14 y 18 años. Al igual que ocurren con los Juegos Olímpicos de “los mayores”, existen dos versiones: los Juegos de verano y los de invierno.
Hoy, 12 de febrero de 2016 y hasta el 21 de febrero, abre sus puertas Los II Juegos Olímpicos de invierno de la Juventud que se celebran en la ciudad noruega de Lillehammer-2016.

Deseamos que estas Olimpiadas (que este año cumple 4 ediciones, dos de verano: Singapur 2010 y Nanjing 2014 y dos de invierno: Innsbruck 2012 y Lillehammer 2016) vayan calando con fuerza en todos los medios de comunicación dada la relevancia que tiene el movimiento Olímpico en cualquiera de sus celebraciones. Mucha suerte a todos los jóvenes atletas de cualquier rincón del planeta.

Los Juegos Olímpicos de la Juventud or JOJ (in English Youth Olympic Games or YOG) are a quadrennial multi-sport event promoted by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 2007 and in which athletes from around the world participate that are aged between 14 and 18 years. The same as they occur with the Olympic Games of «elders», there are two versions: the summer and winter games.
Today, 12 February 2016 and until February 21, opens its doors to the 2nd Olympic winter for the youth held in the Norwegian town of Lillehammer-2016.

We wish that these Olympics (totaling 4 editions, two of the summer: Singapore 2010 and Nanjing 2014 and two of the winter: Innsbruck 2012 and Lillehammer 2016) are catching on with strength in all the media given the relevance that the Olympic movement has in any of your celebrations. Good luck to all the young athletes from every corner of the planet.

498. Actividades Extraescolares: Goya en el Museo del Prado

Un numeroso grupo de alumnos residentes de bachillerato pudieron disfrutar ayer de Goya, uno de los grandes pintores de la historia del arte. Un día antes estuvimos preparando la visita analizando la evolución personal y pictórica de Goya, lo que nos llevó a poder apreciar muchos más detalles de su obra.
Todo un lujo tener delante obras maestras como El quitasol, La familia de Carlos IV, Las dos Majas (convertidas en iconos pictóricos), Los fusilamientos del 3 de mayo… por citar las más conocidas de las muchas que vimos.
Para todos los interesados en visitar, no sólo Goya sino recorrer todo el museo, informamos desde aquí que todos los días, de 6 a 8 de la tarde, la entrada es gratuita. De ahí que tuviéramos que formar parte de la gran cola que se forma para entrar a tan prestigioso Museo.

A large group of resident high school students were able to enjoy Goya yesterday, one of the greatest painters in the history of art. The day before we prepared for the visit by analyzing personal and pictorial evolution of Goya, this led us to appreciate more details in his works.
What a luxury too have masterpieces such as El quitasol, La familia de Carlos IV, Las dos Majas (converted into pictorial icons), Los fusilamientos del 3 de mayo… to mention the best-known of the many works that we saw before.
For all those interested in visiting, not only Goya but travel throughout the Museum, please note here that every day, from 6-8 pm, admission is free. That is why we had to become part of a large queue formed to enter such a prestigious Museum.

497. Premios Goya 2016: “Truman”

El pasado sábado los Premios Goya, el equivalente a los Premios Óscar de Hollywood, cumplieron 30 ediciones. En esta gala, organizada por la Academia de las Artes y Ciencias cinematográficas de España, se premian los mejores trabajos del cine español realizados, en distintas categorías, durante el año anterior a la fecha de entrega.

La gran triunfadora de la noche, del 6 de febrero de 2016, fue la película: TRUMAN de Cesc Gay, que consiguió los 5 Goyas más importantes: Mejor Película, Mejor Director: Cesc Gay, Mejor Guion, Mejor Actor Protagonista: Ricardo Darín y Mejor Actor de Reparto: Javier Cámara.
Otras de las que ganaron más de 1 Goya fueron:
Nadie quiere la noche de Isabel Coixet.
La novia de Paula Ortiz.
A cambio de nada de Daniel Guzmán.
Palmeras en la nieve de Fernando González Molina.

Last Saturday the Goya Awards, the equivalent of the Oscars of Hollywood, met its 30th anniversary. At this gala, organized by the Academy of Arts and cinematographic Sciences of Spain, will reward the best works of Spanish cinema, in different categories, during the year prior to the date of delivery.
The big winner of the night of February 6, 2016, was the film: TRUMAN by Cesc Gay, who received the most important 5 Goyas: best film, Best Director: Cesc Gay, best screenplay, Best Actor: Ricardo Darín and best supporting Actor: Javier Cámara.

496. Fiesta Carnaval 2016

495. Actividades extraescolares: Goya en el Prado.

MUSEO DEL PRADO: GOYA
Fecha y hora: Miércoles 10 de Febrero. Salida a las 17:00 horas.
Lugar: Museo del Prado. Madrid
Para: Alumnos Residentes de Bachillerato.

El próximo miércoles, con un nutrido grupo de alumnos de bachillerato, visitaremos una de las joyas que tiene Madrid: su fantástico Museo del Prado. Y para no perdernos entre la multitud de obras, épocas y autores que posee, centraremos nuestra visita en profundizar en Goya, tal y como hicimos hace un año con otro grupo de alumnos, en esa ocasión de la ESO.
Un día antes les explicaremos detalles de algunas de sus mejores obras para que al día siguiente puedan disfrutar con más profundidad de las mismas.
Daremos buena cuenta de ello en este Blog.

Next Wednesday, with a big group of Bachillerato students, we will be visiting one of the jewels of Madrid: its fantastic museum “Prado”. And so that we don´t get lost among the big diversity of works, ages and authors that it has, we will be focusing our visit in Goya. Just like we did last year with another group of ESO students.
A day before we will explain a few details of some of his best paintings so the following day they can enjoy them more thouroughly.
