El mago español Jorge Blass dirige por décimo cuarta vez el Festival Internacional de Magia que se celebra en el Teatro Circo Price. Los mejores magos del mundo se dan cita en la ciudad de Madrid con la intención de dejarnos boquiabiertos. Ilusionistas de distintas nacionalidades y disciplinas aunarán fuerzas para crear un show espectacular. Otro año más nos disponemos a disfrutar de un festival literalmente mágico.

El pasado sábado los Premios Goya, el equivalente a los Premios Óscar de Hollywood, cumplieron 38 ediciones. En esta gala, organizada por la Academia de las Artes y Ciencias cinematográficas de España, se premian los mejores trabajos del cine español, en distintas categorías, realizados durante el año anterior a la fecha de entrega.
La gran triunfadora de la noche, del 10 de febrero de 2024, fue “La sociedad de la nieve” de J. A. Bayona que consiguió 12 Goyas. Destacamos que se llevó la totalidad de los premios “técnicos”, además del Mejor actor revelación, Mejor Director y Mejor Película del año. Precisamente, tal y como os contamos en la entrada número 1101, hace un par de semanas hicimos un cine-fórum con esta premiada y formidable película.

Last Saturday the Goya Awards, the equivalent of the Hollywood Oscars, celebrated their 38th edition. In this gala, organized by the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain, the best works of Spanish cinema are awarded, in different categories, made during the year prior to the award date.
The big winner of the night, on February 10, 2024, was “Society of the snow” by J. A. Bayona, which won 12 Goyas. We highlight that it won all the “technical” awards, in addition to Best New Actor, Best Director and Best Film of the year.

El pasado sábado nuestros alumnos pudieron disfrutar de el Real Sitio de la Granja de San Ildefonso, declarado conjunto histórico Monumental. Un bellísimo lugar, elegido por el Rey Felipe V en el siglo XVIII, donde se construyó un palacio real rodeado de jardines y enormes fuentes monumentales.
Una tarde espléndida donde la cultura, el arte y el ocio fueron de la mano.

Last Saturday our students were able to enjoy the Royal Site of the San Ildefonso Farm, declared a Monumental historical complex. A beautiful place, chosen by King Felipe V in the 18th century, where a royal palace was built surrounded by gardens and enormous monumental fountains.
A splendid afternoon where culture, art and leisure went hand in hand.

El próximo martes 13 de febrero tendrá lugar nuestra fiesta de Carnaval-2024 en la Residencia. Ya estamos preparando disfraces, máscaras, maquillajes, complementos… Una divertida tarde en la que los disfraces y los juegos serán los protagonistas.

Cerca de nuestra residencia, en la localidad de Alcorcón, se ha habilitado un nuevo espacio de restauración y ocio en la Comunidad de Madrid. Este nuevo espacio se llama X-Madrid.
Allí estuvieron el sábado nuestros alumnos disfrutando de casi todas las opciones que ofrece el nuevo lugar: bolos, videojuegos, moda, restaurantes…
Otro sitio nuevo más al que podremos ir de vez en cuando para seguir disfrutando los fines de semanas con actividades de ocio y cultura.

Near our residence, in the town of Alcorcón, a new restaurant and leisure space has been set up in the Community of Madrid. This new space is called X-Madrid.
Our students were there on Saturday enjoying almost all the options that the new place offers: bowling, video games, fashion, restaurants…
Another new place where we can go from time to time to continue enjoying the weekends with leisure and cultural activities.

D. Gastón presentó ayer, a los alumnos y alumnas residentes de 4º ESO, 1º Bachillerato y 1º DP, el Taller de Orientación Vocacional que se realizará en la UCJC por orientadores y psicólogos profesionales.
Un Taller de lo más interesante en el que recibirán asesoramiento profesional para que puedan encauzar, conociendo multitud de posibilidades, su camino académico hacia lo que deseen estudiar en su futuro universitario.
Un buen número de nuestros alumnos y alumnas mostraron gran interés en asistir a estos talleres que darán comienzo la próxima semana.

Yesterday, Mr. Gastón presented to the resident students of 4th ESO, 1st Baccalaureate and 1st DP the Vocational Guidance Workshop that will be held at the UCJC by professional counselors and psychologists.
A very interesting Workshop in which they will receive professional advice so that they can direct, knowing a multitude of possibilities, their academic path towards what they wish to study in their university future.
A good number of our students showed great interest in attending these workshops that will begin next week.
