El próximo sábado 23 de Abril, el Colegio Internacional SEK- El Castillo abre sus puertas en la, ya tradicional, celebración de su Día Abierto llamado VIVE TU COLEGIO.
Un día en el que se comparten con todos los alumnos, familiares y amigos, diferentes actividades educativas, culturales y recreativas que se realizan en el colegio.
La Residencia Internacional SEK-El Castillo, también abre sus puertas y ofrece 3 actividades concretas:
• A lo largo de toda la mañana se podrán visitar las instalaciones tanto de la Residencia Masculina como de la Femenina. Ambas Residencias tendrán sus puertas abiertas.
• La Residencia instalará un Rocódromo Hinchable en el patio central del colegio para que nuestros alumnos residentes practiquen, junto a los alumnos de primaria del Colegio, sus primeros pinitos de escalada en una instalación segura.
• El grupo de Teatro de la Residencia interpretará la obra: ¡SE BUSCA TEXTO!
Una pequeña obra de teatro donde en menos de media hora viajamos por la búsqueda de diferentes estilos de teatro: desde el clásico a los actuales musicales. La función tendrá lugar en el salón de actos del colegio a partir de las 12:15 de la mañana.
Les esperamos con la ilusión de poder celebrar el Día del Libro compartiendo con nosotros cada una de las actividades propuestas.

Next Saturday, April 23, the College International SEK – El Castillo opens its doors in the, already traditionally called open day celebration the ideas of live your college.
A day in which all students, family and friends, partake in different educational, cultural and recreational activities that take place in the College. The international residence SEK – El Castillo, also opens its doors and offers 3 specific activities:
• Along the morning you can visit both the female and male residence facilities. Both residences have their doors open.
• The residence installed inflatable climbing wall in the courtyard of the school so that our resident students can practice, next to the students in elementary school, their first first steps of climbing being in a secure facility.
• The residence theatre group will perform the work: ¡SEARCHING FOR TEXT!
A small play where in less than half an hour we traveled by the search for different styles of Theatre: from the classical to the current musicals. The function will be held in the Auditorium of the school at 12:15.
They look forward to being able to celebrate the day of the book by sharing with us each one of their proposal activities.

Ayer, tal y como habíamos anunciado en la entrada número 518, nuestros alumnos residentes pudieron disfrutar de la exposición acerca de Egipto, centrada en la figura de Cleopatra.
Como no era posible echar fotos dentro de la exposición os dejo con un par de fotos en la puerta de entrada y un vídeo que muestra cómo se montó la misma.

Yesterday, as we had announced in the entry number 518, our resident students were able to enjoy the exhibition about Egypt, focusing on the figure of Cleopatra.
As it was not possible to take pictures in the exhibition, I leave you with a few pictures in the front page and a video showing how they were set the same.

FIESTA DE LA PRIMAVERA 2016
Fecha y hora: Miércoles 20 de Abril. 18:00 horas.
Lugar: Pradera de la Residencia.
Para: Todos los alumnos de las Residencia Sek-El Castillo.
…Y llegó el turno de nuestra Fiesta de Primavera. Nuestros Alumnos Residentes, con la fórmula del conocido juego del “amigo invisible” se regalarán entre ellos Claveles y Bombones, poniendo color y sabor a la amistad que les une como compañeros de Colegio y Residencia.
Por séptimo año consecutivo ampliaremos las fronteras de nuestra amistad acordándonos de los niños más desfavorecidos, de aquellos que necesitan miles de pequeños gestos para que su infancia no quede ni perdida ni olvidada. Este año volveremos a solidarizarnos con Unicef a través de nuestro Árbol Solidario de los Deseos. En un árbol de la pradera de la Residencia colgaremos lazos de tela. Lazos que cada uno de nosotros compramos, a un precio simbólico, para destinar la totalidad de lo recaudado a Unicef. En cada lazo escribiremos un deseo con la intención de que el viento, el sol, la lluvia, el día, la noche… tome conciencia poética de los mismos y en suerte de un ritual atávico se cumplan.

… And came the turn of our spring party. Our resident students, participated in the popular game of the ‘invisible friend’ that gives carnations and chocolates, putting color and flavor to their friendship that unites them as companions of school and residence.
For seventh consecutive years it has extended the frontiers of our friendship, reminding us of the most disadvantaged children, of those who need thousands of small gestures to make their childhood neither lost nor forgotten. This year we will again express our solidarity with Unicef through our solidarity tree of desires. A tree in the meadow of the residence, we will post fabric loops. Ties that each one of us bought, at a symbolic price, to allocate all of the benefits to Unicef. In each loop, we will write a wish with the intention of the wind, the Sun, rain, day, night… taking poetic awareness of them and sort of an atavistic ritual fulfilling.

Clint Eastwood es un actor, director de cine, productor cinematográfico, guionista, músico y compositor estadounidense. A día de hoy está considerado como uno de los grandes de todos los tiempos y un referente para la cultura cinematográfica a nivel internacional.
Million Dollar Baby es una película dramática estadounidense de 2004 dirigida por Clint Eastwood, quien también participó en la producción, compuso la banda sonora e interpretó uno de los papeles principales. Además de Eastwood, protagonizan la película Hilary Swank y Morgan Freeman.
Crítica, público y premios se pusieron de acuerdo y acabaron catalogando la película como una Obra Maestra. El guion, basado en una novela de F.X. Toole, narra la historia de un veterano entrenador de boxeo, ya al final de su carrera, y sus esfuerzos por ayudar a una boxeadora a llegar hasta lo más alto, aunque entrenar a una mujer esté contra sus criterios.

Million Dollar Baby is a 2004 American drama film directed by Clint Eastwood, who also participated in the production, composition of the soundtrack and played in one of the main roles. Besides Eastwood, starring in the film is Hilary Swank and Morgan Freeman.
Critics, the public and awards agreed in cataloguing the film as a masterpiece. The screenplay, based on a novel by F.X. Toole, tells the story of a veteran boxing trainer, already at the end of his career, and his efforts to help a female boxer to reach the top, even if training a woman is against hi morals.

EXPOSICIÓN: Cleopatra y la fascinación de Egipto.

Lugar: Centro de Exposiciones Arte Canal. Madrid.
Para: Alumnos Residentes de E.P y E.S.O.
El próximo miércoles nuestros alumnos residentes visitarán el Centro de Exposiciones Arte Canal donde podrán disfrutar de una gran exposición dedicada a la figura de la última reina de Egipto, Cleopatra. En ella se podrán admirar más de 400 piezas de 80 museos y colecciones españolas e internacionales, algunas procedentes de yacimientos arqueológicos de Egipto, Pompeya, Roma y la Hispania romana.
Para poder disfrutar al máximo de la exposición, nuestros alumnos contarán con la ayuda de un guía profesional, contratado para la ocasión, que hará un recorrido explicativo para resaltar los detalles más importantes de la misma.

EXHIBITION: Cleopatra and the fascination of Egypt.

Location: Exhibition art channel Center. Madrid.
For: Students and Residents of EP and ESO
Next Wednesday our resident students will visit the exhibitions art Canal Centre where they can enjoy a great exhibition dedicated to the figure of the last Queen of Egypt, Cleopatra. In it you could admire more than 400 monuments of 80 museums of Spanish and international collections, some coming from archaeological sites in Egypt, Pompeii, Rome and the Roman Hispania.
In order to enjoy the maximum exposure, our students count with the help of a professional guide for the occasion, to make an explanatory tour to highlight the most important details of the same.
