Con tan solo 3 películas Juan Antonio Bayona se ha convertido en un Director de cine español reconocido a nivel mundial. Tanto es así que Steven Spielberg le eligió para dirigir la secuela de “Jurassic World”.
Alcanzó el éxito con sus dos primeras películas: “El Orfanato” y “Lo imposible”, éxito que ha consolidado tanto en taquilla como en crítica con la tercera: “Un monstruo viene a verme”, película que le hizo conseguir 9 Goyas además de otros premios nacionales e internacionales.
Un monstruo viene a verme es una película de fantasía producida por España y EE.UU. basada en la novela del mismo título escrita por Patrick Ness, quien también escribe el guion. La película narra las pesadillas y sueños que padece Connor, un chico de 12 años que tiene que ocuparse de llevar las riendas de la casa tras la separación de sus padres y la enfermedad de su madre. ¿Podrá enfrentarse Connor a la verdad con la ayuda de un monstruo que cada noche le visita puntualmente?
Con esta película Bayona cierra una trilogía donde la relación madre-hijo es el hilo conductor.

With only 3 films, Juan Antonio Bayona has become a very well-known Spanish Film Director worldwide. In fact, Steven Spielberg chose him to direct the sequel to «Jurassic World».
His first two films: «The Orphanage» and «The Impossible», were very successful, consolidating both at the box office and in criticism with the third: «A monster Calls», from which he won 9 Goyas as well as other national and international awards.
A monster Calls is a fantasy film produced by Spain and the United States based on the novel of the same title written by Patrick Ness, who also writes the script. The film tells the nightmares and dreams of Connor, a 12-year-old boy who has to deal with the reins of the house after separation from his parents and his mother’s illness. Can Connor face the truth with the help of a monster that visits him punctually every night?
With this film Bayonne closes a trilogy where the mother-son relationship is the thread.
